Finance Assistant (Part Time)

About the role:
We are looking for an experienced part-time Finance Assistant to join our fast-growing organisation.

The post holder will provide accurate, timely and efficient accounting support, taking responsibility for a range of duties under the direction of the Finance Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Requesting and reconciling supplier statements against our ledger.
  • Maintaining and updating Excel spreadsheets to track expenditure.
  • Posting supplier invoices and credit notes to the purchase ledger.
  • Performing daily bank reconciliations.
  • Posting and allocating receipts to customer accounts.
  • Managing debtors and contacting customers in line with payment terms.
  • Generating and sending sales invoices.
  • Sending copy invoices and statements to customers.
  • Raising customer credit notes.
  • Responding to customer queries and maintaining customer relationships.
  • Providing administrative support to the finance team.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Relevant previous finance experience.
  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience using Xero would be advantageous but is not essential.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Salary: Negotiable depending on experience.
Hours: Part time, minimum 22.5 hours per week.
Location: Hybrid working.
